The FMEL owns and operates over 3,300 furnished rooms and studios for students of the University of Lausanne, EPFL and HES Vaud on and around the Lausanne campus.
It is not possible to rent a whole flatshare together with friends. FMEL rents only individual accommodation.
Please note the following prior to commencing your application:
Only the private email address of the TENANT must be used to register (not that assigned to you by your university or school)
A photo ID or passport scan is required during the booking process
- Appointments for check-in on arrival must be made via this portal and can only be done once we've received your deposit. An appointment must be made min. 5 days prior to arrival.
Any eligible student can check availability and choose their housing by creating a personal profile on the reservation portal.
We would like to remind you of the following:
Available rooms are posted at least two months before the start date of the lease.
Availabilities are posted daily depending on lease terminations and cancellations. If no room appears on the portal for the selected date, this means that there is no availability.
Only students registered in a Bachelor or Masters program at EPFL, UNIL or HES in the Vaud Canton are eligible to rent accommodation at the FMEL.
There is no waiting list.
Please note that you must upload your Enrolment certificate or proof of university application during the booking process. You will be asked to do so once you've selected a room.
You will receive a reminder to upload your final registration certificate 2 months after the start of your lease.
